Big Y has been included in Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies for the third consecutive year, recognized in the grocery and convenience stores category for its dedication to ethical business practices, employee satisfaction and customer loyalty.

The annual survey, developed in partnership with market research firm, Statista, ranked 700 companies across 23 industries based on a survey of 25,000 U.S. residents and an analysis of more than 300,000 online mentions.

According to Newsweek, the ranking aims to provide guidance and to highlight the companies that are most trusted in the U.S. They were selected based on a holistic approach evaluating three primary pillars of trust – customers, employees and investors.

“This distinction reflects the care, dedication and integrity our entire Big Y family brings to our customers and communities every day,” said President and CEO Michael P. D’Amour. “Trust is at the heart of everything we do, and we remain committed to earning it with every interaction.”

According to Big Y, it builds trust by staying true to its roots as a family-owned, community-focused grocer that puts people first. Customers rely on Big Y for personalized service, honest communication and locally relevant offerings that reflect each neighborhood.

Employees find a culture of respect, open dialogue and training and development opportunities – reinforced by national recognition for workplace excellence. Big Y also strengthens community trust by supporting educational programs and participating in a variety of local initiatives.
