Oklahoma City-based Schraad Sales and Marketing has appointed Patrick Thompson as president of sales and strategy.

Thompson most recently served as chief strategic officer, leading company-wide initiatives spanning business planning, analytics and organizational development.

He joined Schraad in January 2021 as VP of corporate strategy – center store. The following year, he was promoted to SVP of corporate strategy, where he played a key role in developing the company’s strategic services department.

Schraad credited Thompson’s leadership and industry knowledge for the creation of its proprietary data insights platform, regarded as an industry gold standard and a key differentiator in delivering measurable client value.

Thompson directs sales, strategy and business intelligence operations and oversees the retail sales enablement team. He also serves on Schraad’s senior executive council and represents the company on the On-Shelf Marketing Group (OSMG) strategic council. Thompson will continue to focus on strengthening partnerships and guiding cross-functional initiatives that support long-term success. 

He is only the third person to hold the role of president since the business was founded in 1967, following Bill Schraad Sr. and Bill Schraad Jr.
