Publix Super Markets is celebrating its freshly-made in-store pies, which won nine blue ribbons at the recent 2025 American Pie Council Pie Championships in Orlando, Florida.
The grocer’s bakery competed in the commercial division in the mini, small and large categories.
The mini pie winner was the key lime pie, while the large pie winners included cherry, key lime and mango key lime. In addition, the small pie winners included apple, blueberry, cherry, Dutch apple and no-sugar-added cherry.
Publix’s scratch bakery offers an array of cakes, cookies and pies, as well as wedding cakes and desserts made by skilled decorators. Breads and rolls are baked fresh throughout the day. Other bakery treats include cheesecake, cupcakes and jumbo muffins.
“The Publix bakery is proud to earn distinguished blue-ribbon recognition once again for our award-winning pies,” the company shared in a statement. “We love innovating flavors and seeing new creations become customer favorites. Publix pies are perfect addition to your summer celebrations.”
For 24 years, Publix pies have brought home blue ribbons in the National Pie Championships. The award-winning pies will be featured in stores and have a special sticker on the packaging.
Also, customers can try Publix’s new addition to the bakery department – brownie pies. This dessert combines rich, fudge textures of brownies with the appeal of a pie.
