Publix has added another Florida store following the grand opening June 26 of a 48,387-square-foot location in Pompano Beach.
Located in the Shopper’s Haven shopping center, it features departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy.
“We are excited to welcome customers to their new Publix,” said Lindsey Willis, media relations manager. “The store reflects our commitment to quality, service and fresh offerings. It also features an upstairs area with both indoor and outdoor seating for customers to sit and enjoy their favorite Publix finds.”
To celebrate its 95th anniversary, Publix handed out commemorative reusable bags to the first 95 customers at the grand opening.
The deli department features a full-service deli counter, which includes handcrafted old-world delicacies, as well as an international selection of olives, antipastos, hummus and more than 200 artisan cheeses from the U.S. and around the world.
Publix’s produce department carries organic and conventionally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables, with locally-grown produce and exotic choices from around the world. The floral department stocks bouquets with colors depicting the changing seasons.
The scratch bakery offers an array of cakes, cookies and pies, as well as wedding cakes and desserts made by skilled decorators. Breads and rolls are baked fresh throughout the day. Also featured are bakery treats like cheesecake, cupcakes and jumbo muffins.
The meat department offers custom cuts of meats, including Publix private label all-natural and organic GreenWise chicken. Customers seeking a home-cooked meal with minimal prep time can choose from ready-to-cook items prepared fresh daily.
A full-service seafood department carries fresh seafood delivered throughout the week. It includes wild and farm-raised fish, as well as a variety of shellfish. Publix’s whole fish and fillets are fresh, never frozen. Sushi chefs create hand-rolled selections daily.
The wine department offers an expanded variety of premium and specialty wines from the U.S. and around the world, along with a large selection of champagnes and sparkling wines. The selection also includes fine wines made with organic grapes.
The pharmacy also will include a wide selection of natural and conventional vitamins, minerals and supplements.
Publix provides contactless pay options and convenient services such as grocery delivery, powered by Instacart, and pharmacy delivery.
