Stater Bros. Markets will hold a grand opening June 25 for a store at 27920 Greenspot Road in Highland, California, that anchors the Greenspot Crossings shopping center.
Stater Bros. broke ground on the location in July 2024. At more than 46,000 square feet, it is nearly double the size of the 45-year-old store it is replacing and will feature full-service meat, seafood, service deli and bakery departments and a large selection of fresh and healthy offerings, including fresh sushi and fruit stations.
“Growing communities need places where their residents can get fresh and affordable groceries, and Stater Bros. is proud to answer the call with this store,” said Stater Bros. CEO Pete Van Helden. “I’m excited to have our neighbors in the community come for a visit, try all the delicious items we have to offer and get a taste of our friendly and personal customer service.”
The store, which is accessible from the 210 freeway at the Fifth Street/Greenspot Road exit, boasts a convenience theme with ready-to-cook, pre-prepped items, including grilling meats and veggies, stuffed mushrooms and cut-fresh fruit. Customers can also have their seafood purchases seasoned and steamed for free.
It also offers a one-stop multi-cultural food experience for customers, who will find items such as cheesy breads with a variety of toppings, a burrito bar, fried chicken and seasonal boba, as well as USDA Choice and Certified Angus Beef steaks, a selection of dry-aged beef, Hispanic sausages and marinated chicken.
The grand opening will start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. during which the Citrus Valley High School Band will perform. The celebration will continue all week with sampling events, grocery giveaways and vendor appearances.
To mark the occasion, Stater Bros. Charities will donate $30,000 to six local nonprofits: the Highland District Council on Aging Inc., Highland Head Start, Citrus Valley High School ASB, Loma Linda University Pediatric Clinic, American Legion Post 421 and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Council.
The store will open for business immediately after the ceremony.
