Presidente Supermarkets, one of the largest Hispanic-owned grocery chains in the U.S., recently celebrated the grand opening of its fourth store in Hialeah, Florida.

The new 26,000-square-foot location at at 3750 W 18th Ave. features a cafeteria and employs about 80 people. It aligns with Presidente’s commitment to provide diverse Florida communities with high-quality products at competitive prices.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez and city officials, including Mayor Jacqueline Garcia-Roves, councilman Jesus Tundidor, Fire Capt. Javier Hernández and Manny Cid, the mayor’s senior advisor for economic opportunity , attended the grand opening.

Of its 44 stores in Florida, the family-owned supermarket chain has 22 in Miami-Dade County, three in Broward County, 10 in Palm Beach County and seven in the Orlando area. Two other stores in Miami-Dade County are scheduled to open by the end of 2025.
