Cingari Family Market's ShopRite of Danbury ribbon cutting

Cingari Family Markets, a family-owned and operated supermarket company, has debuted its renovated ShopRite at 1 Padanaram Road in Danbury, Connecticut.

Remaining open throughout the renovation process, the new-look store features:

  • Expanded grab-and-go and prepared foods – A larger selection of take-and-bake seafood and meat options, such as marinated salmon, scallops, dry-rubbed cuts, crab cakes and an extended lineup of Cingari Family Markets’ private-label entrées and sides;
  • Reimagined floral and produce departments – Community-tailored produce displays spotlight seasonal and locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, alongside a refreshed floral section for every occasion;
  • Refreshed specialty departments – Redesigned bakery, seafood, deli, meat, dairy and frozen sections deliver great variety, convenience and quality; and
  • Sustainability upgrades – Energy-efficient refrigeration and freezer units, plus enhanced aisle lighting to showcase products and reduce the store’s carbon footprint.

“Today we celebrate both innovation and tradition,” said Thomas Cingari Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family Markets.

“I want to thank our dedicated associates for their hard work in bringing these upgrades to life, and our customers for their patience and loyalty. The refreshed ShopRite of Danbury underscores our commitment to serving the community with the best in quality, convenience and community spirit.”

The ribbon-cutting marks the culmination of Cingari Family Markets’ store improvement program across its footprint, ensuring each location remains a modern grocery store tailored to shoppers’ needs.

Family-owned and operated for more than 90 years, Cingari Family Markets owns 10 ShopRites and two Cingari Family Markets in southwestern Connecticut.
