Some of the biggest names in women’s golf are set to return to Michigan June 12-15 for the 2025 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give at Blythefield Country Club.

Headlining the early commitments in the 144-player field are defending champion Lilia Vu and past champions Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Mirim Lee and Leona Maguire.

The 2024 event ended in dramatic fashion with a three-hole playoff, where Vu secured her first Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give title and fifth LPGA Tour win overall.

Vu, a two-time major champion, former World No. 1 and 2023 LPGA Player of the Year, returns following a strong season that includes a runner-up finish at the Ford Championship.

Also returning is 2015 champion Thompson, who made headlines last year by announcing her decision to step away from full-time competitive golf. Still, she’s had a strong 2025 season with two top-15 finishes, including 14th at the Chevron Championship.

Henderson, a two-time Meijer LPGA Classic champion and 13-time LPGA Tour winner, also will compete. She has notched three top-15 finishes this year, including a ninth-place finish at the T-Mobile Match Play.

Tournament officials also confirmed that fan-favorite and two-time major winner Brittany Lincicome will play under a sponsor exemption. She is pursuing a limited schedule in 2025 after stepping back from full-time golf.

Joining her is Carolina Lopez-Chacarra, a three-time All-American from Wake Forest University and 2025 Inkster Award recipient. The award honors the top NCAA Division I female golfer completing her collegiate career.

Lopez-Chacarra will compete as a sponsor invite, and LPGA legend Juli Inkster will be present during tournament week.

“We are excited to once again feature a world-class field as the LPGA Tour returns to Michigan,” said Cathy Cooper, executive director of the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. “We look forward to welcoming back the world’s best professional golfers, the game’s future stars and our incredible fans for an amazing week of golf.”

Family-Friendly Event with Purpose

Now in its 11th year, the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give is a family-oriented tournament with tickets priced at $10 per day, and free admission for children 17 and younger when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Four-day passes are available for $25.

Premium experiences include the new Kraft Heinz Pavilion and the J. Brewer’s and Frederik’s hospitality options.

Grand Taste Concessions, offering food and drink items at $4 or less, and Discovery Land, a free interactive zone for kids and families, will return in 2025.

The tournament has raised more than $12 million for Meijer’s Simply Give hunger relief program over the past decade, and the 2025 goal is to contribute an additional $1.3 million to support local food pantries across the Midwest.

Special Offers for Fathers and Military

On Father’s Day, June 15, all dads receive free general admission. In addition, military personnel – including active duty, retired, reserves and veterans – can enter for free all four days with valid identification, along with one guest.
