Zallie Family Markets celebrates its Employee Hall of Fame recipients.

Zallie Family Markets, a family-owned company that operates 11 ShopRite stores in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia, held its annual “Service Awards Dinner” on May 15, honoring 77 employees who had reached 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 or 50 years of service.

The Quarter Century Club also was announced, giving special recognition to those achieving their 25th year with the company.

The highlight of the dinner was the induction of six retired employees into the Zallie Family Markets Hall of Fame. Established in 2024, the hall recognizes those who have left a mark on the success of the company over its more than 50 years.

This year’s inductees selected charities of their choice to receive a $5,000 donation made in their name by the grocer.

Retired Director of Merchandising Michael Bordi selected Bethel Church in Blackwood, New Jersey, as his charity while Idee Musso, a former prepared foods coordinator, and Linda Hart, who retired as customer service manager from the ShopRite in Laurel Hill, both chose St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Retired Director of Human Resources Eileen Sherman selected Angel’s Outreach in Pitman, New Jersey, while retired Store Director Rick Kalczewski chose the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas.

Nathaniel “Nate” Johnson, who remains employed with nearly 50 years of service, also selected St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

“Our inductees distinguished themselves over the course of their careers by modeling our company values of ‘Do What’s Right, Respect Others and Do Our Best.’ They also reflected what is at the heart of our company, which is to provide great service to our guests every single day,” said David Zallie, chairman a.

“These inductees left a mark of dedication, commitment and leadership and we are proud to honor their contributions to our success over these many decades. They helped lay the foundation for our future.”
