Whole Foods Market opened a new 46,500-square-foot store May 15 at 2475 S. Town Center Drive in the Summerlin community of Las Vegas that replaces the Fort Apache store at 8855 W. Charleston Blvd.
The new location’s product assortment features more than 100 items from Nevada, each meeting Whole Foods Market’s quality standards.
“I started my Whole Foods Market career helping open the Fort Apache store back in 2003. Since then, this area has grown tremendously, and we’re excited to bring a brand new, larger location to the community,” said Ruben Nuno, store team .
“With an upgraded coffee and juice bar, new prepared foods venues and an expanded indoor and outdoor cafe seating area, we are thrilled to welcome customers into this new store – while offering the same expertise and service we’ve proudly delivered for the past two decades.”
Opening morning, customers received free coffee from Dark Moon Coffee Roasters and snacks from Sweetpotato Awesome.
The first 300 shoppers in line were given a limited-edition tote bag and a Secret Saver coupon, featuring offers of up to $100.
To mark the occasion, Whole Foods Market presented an all-electric refrigerated van to Celestial Manna with a food donation. The van will support Celestial Manna’s surplus food pickups from Whole Foods Market stores, helping prevent food waste and serve the community.
Both donations are part of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which enhances local food rescue organizations’ ability to transport surplus food to areas of greatest need.
