The Sweets & Snacks Expo, hosted by the National Confectioners Association, has taken over downtown Indianapolis for three-and-a-half days filled with new, innovative products and informative educational sessions.
The annual show, which runs May 12-15 at the Indiana Convention Center, features more than 1,000 exhibitors – 300 of them first-timers – with 14,000 attendees across more than 250,000 square feet of show floor.
The event brings together thought leaders and industry experts to share and gain insights, network and drive the candy and snack industries forward.
“The candy and snack industries continue to set the pace for innovation across the food industry, and the Sweets & Snacks Expo is where it all begins,” said John Downs, president and CEO of the NCA.
“Year after year, the show brings together a vibrant community that embraces bold ideas – driving manufacturers to create, inspiring retailers to surprise and delight, and ultimately delivering more exciting options for consumers.”

Educational sessions
Attendees can choose from more than 30 educational opportunities spread across the show.
- Eye-opener sessions – These deliver a look into consumer habits and retail trends that will shape the industry, such as the State of Snacking, presented by Sally Lyons Wyatt, global EVP and chief advisor of consumer goods and foodservice insights for Circana, and the State of Treating, presented by Anne-Marie Roerink, president of 210 Analytics.
- Supplier Showcase Stage – Industry experts and thought leaders will share insights, strategies and trends around the topic of sustainability within the confectionery industry.
Topics from other education sessions span the industry, from artificial intelligence and regulatory discussions to consumer trends and category growth.
