White Plains, New York-based pladis, the company behind brands such as Godiva, Flipz and Turtles, has welcomed Jeremy Faa as managing director for its U.S. operations.
Faa brings a wealth of experience to pladis Americas, including more than three decades in the food and beverage sector. A significant portion of his career was spent at Coca-Cola, where he progressed through various leadership roles, culminating in his position as president North America (South Zone).
Faa’s knowledge of the North American consumer landscape, from his years of driving expansion for Coca-Cola, provides pladis with a significant strategic advantage as it aims to capture a larger share of the competitive snacking industry.
In recent years, Faa also has leveraged his knowledge through advisory and consultancy positions, including with the technology venture capital fund, BridgeTech, further broadening his strategic perspective within the broader consumer goods landscape and the evolving snacking industry.
Faa’s addition comes at a time when pladis Americas is looking to build its portfolio, which includes legacy brands such as McVitie’s and Carr’s, alongside U.S. regional brands Flipz and Turtles. The company’s iconic brands with rich histories represent a combined heritage of more than 300 years in baking and confectionary.
The current managing director for pladis Americas, Carlos Canals, will be transitioning to a new role within the company’s global operations as chief business development officer.
Employing 600 people, pladis Americas operates two manufacturing facilities in New York State and Pennsylvania. The infrastructure, combined with Faa’s leadership, is expected to drive further operational efficiencies and market penetration within the snacking industry.
Pladis has established itself as one of the world’s fastest-growing snacking industry players, with a portfolio of well-loved brands that resonate with consumers globally.
