The United Family debuted its new Market Street location in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, to media and community members with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and store tours April 24. The store opened to the public at 6 a.m. the next day.

Marking the 100th location for The United Family and its third in Rio Rancho, the store continues the evolution of Market Street, the company’s upscale banner.

While New Mexico has a Market Street location in Santa Fe, the store in Rio Rancho is the company’s first in the state to be built from the ground up.

“We can’t say enough about how excited we are to introduce the Market Street brand to the community of Rio Rancho,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family.

“The store is  beautiful, spacious and full of the best that Market Street has to offer its guests. Not to mention, it’s especially meaningful to our company that this store marks our 100th location. It couldn’t be in a better community.”

Some of the store’s features include:

  • Drive-thru pharmacy;
  • Online shopping with grocery pick-up and delivery;
  • Extensive foodservice offerings including a Chopsticks Noodle Bar with sushi;
  • Meat and seafood counter;
  • Extensive selection of beer, wine and spirits; and
  • On-site concierge to coordinate catering and events.

The Market Street location also marks the New Mexico debut of the SMōK’D Pit barbecue brand, an authentic pit barbecue experience with fresh smoked meat each day.

“From the high-end meat and seafood counter to the catering services to the extensive food service offerings, we know the Market Street brand is going to bring an incredible experience to our guests in Rio Rancho,” Hopper said.

Dan Szuch, director of the store and longtime New Mexico resident, said shoppers can count on exceptional customer service that is the foundation of the Market Street brand.

“I have been part of this community for a long time, and I can’t wait to continue serving the community in this incredible new store,” Szuch said. “This store has a lot of amazing things to offer, but I promise that great service will remain at the core of what we do. I know this team will do their best to make every day extraordinary for our guests.”
