Harris Teeter Launches Health Partner Round-Up Campaign

Harris Teeter has launched its Health Partner Round-Up Campaign, supporting six health nonprofits: the American Cancer Society (ACS), the American Heart Association (AHA), the ALS Association, Breakthrough T1D, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and the HEARTest Yard, a foundation founded by former Carolina Panther Greg Olsen.

Through April 22, shoppers can round up their total to the nearest dollar at all Harris Teeter locations, excluding the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads stores. The campaign will support ACS, AHA, ALS Association, Breakthrough T1D and MDA. In North and South Carolina, stores will also benefit the HEARTest Yard.

The funds collected will be evenly distributed among the nonprofit partners, with 100 percent of the proceeds staying within the local community where the donation is made.

“Non-profits like these rely on the generosity of our associates and loyal shoppers,” said Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs at Harris Teeter.

“These donations are critical for these organizations to continue conducting research and providing life-saving treatments and programs. Through this unique partnership, we can raise awareness of each organization’s role in improving lives and building healthier communities.”

The campaign gives shoppers the opportunity to give back to the local community while supporting critical research programs, life-changing technology and treatments. The ACS, AHA, ALS Association, Breakthrough T1D, MDA and the HEARTest Yard provide vital services that improve the lives of those impacted by cancer, heart disease, Type 1 diabetes, neuromuscular diseases, motor neuron disease and pediatric cardiovascular disease.
