CGA Elevates 3 Executives To New Positions

CGA , update, Newsom

As the first step in a multi-pronged plan to ensure long-term growth and stability, the California Grocers Association (CGA) has promoted three executives.

Jennifer Gold is now VP of people operations and administration, while Nate Rose has become VP of communications and public affairs and Beth Wright is executive director of events and sponsorship.

Gold, Rose and Wright previously led CGA’s senior development team, which is tasked with managing its day-to-day operations. They will continue in that role alongside Daniel Conway, VP of government relations, while the organization develops new leadership pathways and responsibilities.

CGA’s aim is to ensure it is well-positioned to build upon and expand its ability to advocate for California’s grocery industry. The association’s executive leadership team is made of President and CEO Ronald Fong and COO and SVP Doug Scholz.

“Beth, Jen and Nate have proven they’re not only experts in their fields, but that they have tremendous leadership ability and still untapped potential. by charting their advancement we’re making sure cga continues to grow and serve its mission as a best-in-class organization,” Fong said.

For more than 120 years, the California Grocers Association has served as the voice of the state’s grocery community. A nonprofit, statewide trade association, CGA’s membership includes more than 300 retailers operating more than 6,000 stores and about 150 grocery supply companies.
