Allegiance Retail Services (ARS) President and Chief Operating Officer Joseph Fantozzi has been named the 2025 Person of the Year by the Catholic Institute of the Food Industry (CIFI).
The recognition was celebrated at a dinner that drew 235 industry professionals to the Garden City Hotel on Long Island, New York.
CIFI, established in 1946, recognizes leaders in the food industry who demonstrate exceptional commitment to charitable giving and community service.
“It is my honor to be the 2025 CIFI’s Person of the Year,” Fantozzi said. “I believe in CIFI’s four-pillar foundation for which the organization stands on. The contributions given to those in need make me embrace my Catholic faith with great pride. The act of giving will always create good fortune for those who think more about others than they do about themselves.”
According to CIFI, the recognition reflects Fantozzi’s leadership in the food industry and his commitment to charitable causes. The institute supports various organizations, including Calvary Hospital, Catholic Faith Network, Tiegerman and CaringKind, while also aiding families in need during holiday seasons.
During Fantozzi’s remarks, he noted the importance of faith regardless of religious affiliation.
