Rochester, New York-based Wegmans Food Markets has begun a partnership with Uber Eats to add the grocer to its delivery platform.
Wegmans locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C., are now available to shop on the Uber Eats and Uber apps. Stores in Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania will be added in February.
Uber One members will find $0 delivery fee and 5 percent discount on all Wegmans orders with a $35 minimum purchase, while all new customers can get up to 40 percent off their next orders totaling at least $60 until Feb. 5.
“Wegmans is synonymous with high-quality food and exceptional service, and now customers can easily order everything they need for game day entertaining – from fresh produce to prepared meals and snacks – delivered right to their door,” said Hashim Amin, head of North American grocery and retail delivery at Uber.

“Partnering with Uber and expanding our delivery network is just one way we’re able to continue delivering on that mission,” she said.
Customers can build group orders with family members, place orders any time of day and select replacement items with real-time tracking.
