Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc. (AWG) and Kellanova recently donated $25,000 to Feeding America network food banks.
The donation was made through AWG Cares, the employee-managed charitable foundation of AWG, as part of the Kellanova Better Days Promise social purpose program.
“For the fourth consecutive year, we’re proud to continue our partnership with Kellanova in a shared mission to combat hunger in the communities we serve,” said Melanie Isenmann, vice chair of AWG Cares.
“The work of the foundation reflects our commitment to making a meaningful difference, and we are grateful for the impact we’ve achieved together with like-minded partners who share our vision for a healthier, hunger-free future.”
Since 2021, AWG and Kellanova have worked together to fight hunger. By combining a friendly sales competition among AWG’s division support centers, the campaign was the first of its kind of the AWG Cares employee charitable foundation.

“Feeding America has such a positive impact; we are pleased to support them with this donation and share in their fight to end hunger in America.”
The AWG Cares Employee Charitable Foundation was started in 2017. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $949,700 to charities focused on three areas of need – hunger and homelessness, medical research and supplies and disaster relief.
