Big Y Celebrates Store Grand Opening In Westport, CT

Big Y has opened a new store at 1076 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut, the third new market to open in the state this year. 

Grand opening festivities will take place on Nov. 7, including giveaways, special offers and sample tastings. New myBigY members will receive 500 myBigY Rewards points when $10 is spent in a single transaction through Jan. 1. Discounts are available every day for myBigY members using their Big Y Membership, based upon their grocery purchases.

The Westport Big Y store offers a bakery with cake decorators, a full-service butcher shop and a seafood department with six deliveries of fresh, sustainable seafood every week. The kitchen and deli feature ready-to-heat Big Y Quick, Easy Meals, including made-to-order fish and chips, hand-tossed pizza, freshly-made sushi, made-to-order subs and paninis with Boar’s Head premium meats and cheeses, also available fresh sliced or pre-packaged in the deli. 

It also has a wide assortment of quality products and specialty items from local partners, including Arethusa Farm specialty cheeses, Cato Corner, Liuzzi Italian specialties in the deli, Bear’s seasoned wings, Hummel products and Lamberti sausage in the butcher shop, Zaro’s in the bakery, Gina Marie Bakery, Chabaso Bakery artisan breads in the bakery and Gilbertie’s Organics in the produce department.
