7-Eleven Adds Dairy-Free Klimon Frozen Desserts To Stores

7-Eleven Klimon

Klimon has established a distribution deal with 7-Eleven, which will introduce its plant-based, dairy-free frozen desserts in pints and novelties at about 400 Southern California stores, with plans for a subsequent nationwide rollout.

Klimon’s desserts, which first appeared in grocery freezer aisles in 2022, provide an alternative to ice cream for the increasing number of consumers seeking plant-based products.

Klimon said it is riding year-over-year revenue growth of 126 percent and investing in brand-building partnerships and positioning. A recent packaging redesign placed emphasis on the “No Milk” play on words, with a new logo that features a backwards “N” and a crossed out “O.” New pints include specific color gradients for each flavor.

“The Klimon motto is ‘No Dairy. No Difference,’” said Alex Cotraviwat, Klimon’s founder and CEO. “We are meeting a need for people who want plant-based options, but our product is so creamy and delicious any ice cream lover on-the-go will be satisfied with the treats available at 7-Eleven.”

Klimon products available at 7-Eleven include:

  1. Individually-wrapped Klimon Dairy Free Ultra Creamy Ice Cream Sandwiches in Goldie Luxe (vanilla) and Churro Chata (horchata) flavors
  2. Klimon’s Dairy Free Ice Cream Pints in four flavors: Cherry Bomb, Choco PB Cup, Banana Ooh Na-Na and Ooey Gooey.

Banana Ooh Na-Na and Ooey Gooey! flavors featuring Minions branding is made possible through Klimon’s licensing agreement with Universal.

In addition, Oracle Park stadium in San Francisco is expanding its plant-based food options, adding Klimon Goldie Luxe frozen dessert sandwiches to the menu. They feature a vanilla-bean, oat milk-based frozen filling between two vanilla cookies.
