Rouses Markets celebrated the grand opening of its fifth location in Mississippi with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 16 at 2384 Pass Road in Biloxi.
The event featured Biloxi Mayor Andrew “Fo-Fo” Gilich, local dignitaries and Rouses Markets CEO Donny Rouse, who welcomed the community to the 60,000-square-foot store.
The location, Rouses’ 66th overall, expands the company’s footprint along the Gulf Coast and comes on the heels of a new store that opened last month in Picayune, Mississippi.

“We appreciate our Mississippi customers for asking us to open more stores in their state, and we’re committed to growing our presence here,” Rouse said. “This Biloxi location is a direct response to that support, and we’re excited to bring our signature Rouses Markets experience to the local community.”
The new store will create about 200 new jobs in the Biloxi area, offering a mix of full- and part-time positions. Shoppers will find an array of services and departments, including:
- Boar’s Head deli products served in the deli department;
- Largest beer selection in the area with local and regional brews;
- Full-service seafood department, offering in-house seafood boiling and fresh deliveries from the Gulf Coast and beyond;
- Butcher shop featuring in-house steaks, roasts and chops, with a custom dry-aged beef locker for aging USDA Choice Angus Beef for at least 25 days to deliver a premium steakhouse experience;
- Bakery offering Rouses Markets’ famous Gentilly and Doberge cakes, Mardi Gras king cakes, personalized cake decorating, fresh popcorn and cotton candy;
- Sushi, poke bowls and Mongolian grill with options for fresh rice bowls and teriyaki;
- Chef-inspired ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat meals;
- Hot breakfast, lunch and dinner options, as well as hot soup and fresh salad bars;
- Full-service floral department for any occasion; and
- Online shopping and curbside pickup for a seamless shopping experience.
