Cingari Family Markets is renovating the ShopRite at 143 Federal Road in Brookfield, Connecticut.
The store’s renovation, following the parent company’s recent rebrand as Cingari Family Markets, will feature a refreshed, modern look, complete with interior and exterior upgrades. It also will offer a variety of new services and conveniences designed to enhance the customer experience.
The store will remain open throughout the project, with construction primarily taking place during overnight hours to minimize disruption to customers. A grand reopening celebration is anticipated later this fall.
“Over the past few years, we’ve seen significant changes in how our customers shop and what they’re looking for in their grocery store experience,” said Tom Cingari Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family Markets.
“Shoppers are increasingly seeking fresh, prepared meals and more sustainable choices. This renovation is our way of responding to those shifts. We’ve listened to our customers, and these changes are a direct result of that feedback.”
The renovation will introduce several new offerings, including an expanded grab-and-go section with a variety of take-and-bake seafood and meat options, including salmon, scallops, marinated and dry rubbed meats and crab cakes.
In addition, the store will get an upgraded floral department capable of serving any holiday or special occasion, along with reimagined produce, bakery, seafood, deli, meat, dairy and frozen departments. It also will enhance its prepared foods options, with more entrée and sides.
In line with the company’s sustainability goals, the store will incorporate energy-efficient refrigeration and freezer units, as well as lighted shelves throughout the aisles to improve visibility.
“Our goal is to make grocery shopping a convenient and enjoyable experience for our customers,” Cingari said. “We’re confident that the new features and improvements at our ShopRite of Brookfield will exceed our customers’ expectations.”
Family-owned and operated for more than 90 years, Cingari Family Markets owns 12 grocery stores in southwestern Connecticut.
