The Fresh Market Expands Florida Footprint With Store In Seminole

The Fresh Market's bread breaking ceremony for its Seminole store

The Fresh Market held a grand opening Sept. 13 for its new store at 7774 113th St. N in the Seminole City Center in Seminole, Florida.

Spanning 24,597 square feet, the store offers a range of fresh produce, premium meats, seafood, bakery items and local Florida products. Customers can enjoy ready-to-eat meals, such as in-house fresh smoked pit barbecue featuring fresh brisket, ribs and pork; hot pizza; or specialty beverages from the Coffee café bar. Inside and covered outdoor seating makes it a communal place to meet up for a meal or coffee with friends.

The opening comes on the heals of Fresh Market’s recognition by USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024 for best grocery storebest bakery, best deli and best-prepared food.

“Florida is an important part of our growth at The Fresh Market, and we’re thrilled to become a member of the Seminole community,” said Jason Potter, CEO of The Fresh Market.

“Our recent recognition by USA Today readers is a testament to our shoppers’ commitment to our brand. They choose us and trust us with their everyday and special occasion meals, and we’re excited for our guests in Seminole to discover their favorites.”

To celebrate the new store opening, the first 500 guests received customized Seminole shopping bags and were treated to opening day festivities such as a “bread breaking” ceremony with local officials and partners, vendor sampling, specialty presentations including the cracking of Reggiano Parmesan Wheel and sampling, giveaways and live music.

To mark the occasion, the Fresh Market also presented a check for $2,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay. Nearly 1 million people in West Central Florida face food insecurity. The Seminole store joins nine other Fresh Market locations providing weekly food donations to the organization.
