Rouses Markets has shared several key executive promotions and new hires, reinforcing its commitment to leadership excellence and continued growth across Louisiana.
James Breuhl has been promoted to the newly created position of SVP of merchandising at Rouses. Breuhl has a long history with the company, having started as a market manager in 2006. He has previously served as VP of fresh and as meat and seafood director.
In his new role, Breuhl will oversee buying, sourcing and merchandising for fresh, grocery and non-food categories, working closely with operations.

Jason Martinolich has been named VP of center store, and Chris Acosta has been promoted to director of grocery. Additionally, Billy Bishop has assumed the new role of director of special projects for fresh and grocery.
Rouses Markets also welcomes Anthony Henry as the new district manager for its Alabama locations. Henry brings extensive experience in grocery store operations, having most recently worked as a retail operations management consultant and project manager for Logile Inc. His background includes key roles at Earth Fare, Weis Markets, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Stop & Shop.
Ben Castro has joined Rouses as specialty foods merchandiser. He was previously at Ideal Market, a company known for its focus on Hispanic food brands.
