Williamsville, New York-based Tops Friendly Markets has announced several new hires and promotions.
Dave Fortini
In his new role as manager of engineering and design, Fortini will be responsible for the coordination of design, engineering and equipment for all store remodels, new stores, fuel sites and miscellaneous projects. He will work with brand partners, design specialists, equipment vendors and outside contractors on design developments.
Fortini comes to Tops Markets with more than 25 years of experience in the grocery industry, most recently with Buffalo Outfront, which specialized in custom refrigerated fixtures for supermarkets across the country.
George Najm
As store planning and design specialist, Najm will be responsible for store layouts, civil, architectural, mechanical, lighting and decor design for Tops Markets stores, including fuel sites. He will be the liaison between design and all internal Tops Markets/Northeast Shared Services (NSS) departments in the creation of store layouts.
Christina Lambros
Lambros has been promoted to store manager of the Tops Friendly Markets store in Frewsburg, New York. She started in the grocery business in 2014 as a cashier and since that time has held many positions, most recently as assistant store manager of the Tops store in the Thruway Plaza in Cheektowaga, New York.
Dan Tutuska
Tutuska has been named store manager of the Tops Friendly Markets store in Ellicottville, New York. He began his career in 2005 as a cashier/office clerk at the Delaware/Sheridan Dr. location. Since then, he has held many positions over the years, most recently as assistant store manager for Tops in Hamburg, New York.
Chris Cochran
Cochran has been elevated to store manager of the Tops Friendly Markets location in Sandy Creek, New York. He started his career with Tops Markets in 2016 as a cashier and has held several positions over the years, including assistant customer service manager, night operations manager and operations manager.
Most recently, Cochran held the position of assistant store manager at the Tops’ store in Manlius, New York.
