Several Employees Assume Expanded Roles At Laurel Grocery

Laurel Grocery Co. shared that four employees have been promoted to new positions with expanded responsibilities and that a fifth is joining the company as a buyer.

The company said the moves will position it for the long-term future and for continued growth and advancement of all workers.

Jake Jennings

Jennings has been elevated to VP of marketing, advertising and customer communication.

Jennings, who has been with Laurel Grocery Co. for 16 years, will be taking on the added responsibility of all communication to Laurel retailers and the coordination of marketing programs, tags and signage.

Lawrence Mills

Mills has been promoted to VP of procurement, including deli, bakery and supplies.

Miller, who has held a variety of roles during his 29 years with Laurel Grocery Co., took over procurement for grocery, dairy and frozen earlier this year.

Michele Rednour

After working in the meat department for 32 years, Rednour has been named meat director. She will now oversee all meat purchasing and the development of programs that will drive meat sales at retail. In addition, she will be responsible for meat assortment and implementing new packaged and fresh items.

Trish Reed

A 22-year veteran of Laurel Grocery Co., Reed has been selected as director of pricing.

She will handle the management of all price zones, special pricing for Laurel promotional programs and the printing of tags, among others.

Jeremy Shepherd

Shepherd is joining the Laurel Grocery Co. team as a buyer. He has 18 years of experience in grocery retail in the meat and produce departments. Shepherd will be training under Mills and Carla Smith.
