Big Y opened a new family market at 14 Candlewood Lake Road in Brookfield, Connecticut, marking the first of three locations planned in the state for this year.
The Brookfield market offers a comprehensive shopping experience, featuring a bakery, full-service butcher shop and a seafood department that will receive fresh, sustainable catches six times a week.
The deli and kitchen departments cater to busy lifestyles with a variety of “Big Y Quick, Easy Meals,” including hand-tossed pizzas by the slice or whole, freshly prepared sushi and made-to-order subs and paninis featuring Boar’s Head meats and cheeses.
The store prioritizes local partnerships, offering a selection of specialty items from Connecticut producers. Shoppers will find Arethusa Farm cheeses, Liuzzi Italian specialties, Bear’s seasoned wings, Hummel products, Lamberti sausages, Deep River chips, Lyman Orchards produce and artisan breads from Gina Marie Bakery and Chabaso Bakery.
