Lakeland, Florida-based Publix continues its expansion in the state by holding two store openings – one at 1940 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. in Sarasota and another in 1220 E. Palm Dr. in Homestead.
The Florida stores offer departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce, as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy.
“We are excited to add [these] Publix locations,” said Hannah Herring, Publix media relations manager. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers and providing them with premier service and quality products.”
Publix adds them to its growing number of new and remodeled locations in Florida, including supermarkets in Kissimmee, Melbourne, Miami, Royal Palm Beach, Sarasota, Westlake, Fort Myers and Boynton Beach.
The Florida Publix stores feature a deli counter with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. The deli also offers an international selection of olives and more than 200 artisan cheeses. The produce department carries organic and conventionally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables.
It also features a meat department with custom cuts, including Publix private label all-natural and organic GreenWise chicken. The seafood department carries fresh seafood and wild and farm-raised fish, as well as a variety of shellfish.
The wine department at these Florida Publix locations will offer a large variety of premium and specialty wines from the U.S. and around the world, along with a large selection of champagnes and sparkling wines. The selection also includes fine wines made with organic grapes.
Lastly, the pharmacy will include a variety of body care products and a selection of natural and conventional vitamins, minerals and supplements.
Publix provides contactless pay options and convenient services like grocery delivery, powered by Instacart.
