As part of its continued expansion into the DFW Metroplex, H-E-B has begun construction on a 132,000-square-foot store in Prosper, a city north of Dallas.
The store, which is expected to open in fall 2025, will showcase all the quality products and innovative services H-E-B customers have come to expect from the grocer.
It will include a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru and a True Texas BBQ restaurant. The store will also include curbside and home delivery service.
Inside and out, H-E-B plans to design the store to reflect the community’s character. In addition, the store will incorporate several energy-efficient features, such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.
To mark the occasion, H-E-B gave $10,000 each to Grand Love, Prosper Education Foundation, Cornerstone North Central Texas and Lovepacs.
In the DFW area, H-E-B has opened stores in Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Allen. A store in Alliance is set to open April 10, with a site in Mansfield expected to open later this year.
The company also has started construction on two Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B stores in Dallas, the first outside the Houston area.
