Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B has broken ground on its second location in Dallas, continuing the brand’s expansion beyond the Houston area into the DFW Metroplex.
H-E-B, a San Antonio-based multi-format retailer, announced plans last year to build the Joe V’s Smart Shop at 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. It is expected to open in spring 2025.
Late last year, the company began construction on a Joe V’s Smart Shop at 4101 W. Wheatland Road. That store, which will be the brand’s first outside Houston, is expected to open this summer.
Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B is an innovative price format that delivers a curated assortment of community-focused products and fresh products.
“We’re excited to continue our growth in the Dallas area and eager to serve customers in the metroplex with top-quality service and the freshest products at the lowest prices in the marketplace,” said H-E-B COO Roxanne Orsak.
“We look forward to bringing this proud H-E-B brand to more Texans.”
In honor of the grand opening and inspired by the company’s spirit of giving, Joe V’s Smart Shop announced $30,000 in gifts to area schools and nonprofits, with $10,000 each going to support Buckner International and Skyline High School and Frank Guzick Elementary, both in Dallas.
Launched in 2010, Joe V’s Smart Shop has more than 2,000 employees across 10 stores in the Houston area.
