Tops Friendly Markets has launched a specialty pharmacy program to provide more convenient and personalized care for customers living with chronic and complex medical conditions.
The Tops Markets Specialty Pharmacy Program will allow them to access specialty medications at the pharmacy. Specialty medications include those that can be complex to administer, have a high cost and/or require special storage or handling.
Chronic diseases are typically treated with specialty medications and can include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, hepatitis, psoriasis, ulcerative colitis, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis and Crohn’s disease.
In addition, specialty medications require strict adherence to a treatment plan to ensure successful outcomes.
The Tops Specialty Pharmacy services include providing educational resources, developing individualized clinical care plans, coordinating insurance benefits, navigating financial assistance and ensuring continuous patient care throughout treatment.
In partnership with its local pharmacists, the program will be supported by a team of specialty pharmacists and patient care coordinators.

In addition, the grocer’s pharmacies offer signature programs such as immunizations, medication therapy management and discounts through the Tops $3.99+Plan generic program.
