Bob Veilleux has joined Gelson’s as the senior director of produce and floral.
Veilleux comes to Gelson’s from his previous position with Gerrity’s Supermarkets and Valley Farms Markets in Pennsylvania, where he served as the director of produce, floral and bulk foods.
He will be responsible for all aspects of the produce and floral operations, including quality and freshness, merchandising and customer experience, marketing and messaging and team building.
Veilleux has more than 36 years of experience in the grocery and produce industry. He has a demonstrated record of achievement in management and customer service, with proven skills of leadership and communication.
Encino, California-based Gelson’s has 27 locations throughout Southern California, offering the amenities of a traditional grocer with the tailored offerings of a neighborhood shop. Each store offers a range of produce, meat, seafood, bakery and floral items, as well as chef-crafted signature and seasonal recipes from Gelson’s Kitchen, including deli to-go and catering.

Gelson’s Markets celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2021 by naming Hee-Sook Nelson, the company’s VP of team development and public affairs, as The Shelby Report of the West’s Executive Woman of the Year.
