Balls Food Stores opened its new Price Chopper store Oct. 11 at 207 NE Englewood Road in Kansas City, Missouri.
To celebrate the grand opening, a ribbon cutting was held at 8 a.m. with a speech from CEO David Ball. The company plans to continue the celebration throughout October with balloon artists and face painters scheduled for the weekends and special ads and promotions for several weeks.
This opening was a special occasion for Balls Food Stores as it celebrates its 100-year anniversary this year. The first Price Chopper opened in the same area in 1979, and according to the company, it is “a thrill to build a brand new store for this community 44 years later.”
