Stater Bros. Markets will hold a grand opening of a 46,109-square-foot store Sept. 20 at 8373 Pine Ave. in Chino, California.
The Chino location will be at the corner of Pine Avenue and Main Street, and anchor Town Center at the Preserve, developed by Lewis Retail Centers. The store’s normal hours of business will be 6 a.m.-11 p.m., seven days a week.
The grand opening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 8 a.m. The Chino Hills High School Band will provide live music at the event, where Stater Bros. Charities will donate $25,000 in total to five local nonprofits.
The organizations receiving donations will be the Chino Hills High School Music Boosters, Chino Police Officers’ Foundation, Elmer C. “Stater Bros. is very pleased to bring a long-awaited and -needed modern grocery store to the Chino Preserve,” said Pete Van Helden, Stater Bros. CEO and chairman.
“Residents in the community will now have fresh and healthy, high-quality food, outstanding customer service and an unparalleled shopping experience available to them just a short and convenient trip away.”
Shoppers will experience a multi-cultural food experience that reflects the diverse population of The Preserve. A few of the items shoppers will discover include tacos, yakisoba noodles, Korean fried chicken wings, chicharrones, melon bread and Japanese cheesecakes.
The supermarket will have full-service meat, seafood, service deli and bakery departments, as well as fresh sushi created in-store by sushi chefs and fresh-cut fruit at the store’s fruit cutting station.
