Southeastern Grocers Seeking Local, Diverse Suppliers

Southeastern Grocers logo

Southeastern Grocers Inc.’s Local & Diverse Supplier Connect event Nov. 1 will allow it to collaborate with underrepresented suppliers and, in turn, provide stores with an expanded variety of locally relevant and diverse products.

The virtual event will focus on sourcing items across grocery, household, fresh, frozen, personal care, pet and baby merchandise, among other categories.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their companies’ backgrounds, product information and marketing plans with buyers and category managers. Southeastern Grocers is working with ECRM and RangeMe to qualify and connect diverse suppliers with buyers.

The summit, Southeastern Grocers’ fourth reaching out to diverse or local suppliers, follows its most recent July Supplier Connect sourcing event.

Southeastern Grocers works with 300 diverse and local suppliers operating across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi. Interested companies have until Sept. 11 to apply here.

The grocer has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity, America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women, named as one of America’s Most Trustworthy companies and as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces. SEG has also been certified as a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years.
