Atlanta-based Cognira has begun a partnership with KeHE to transform the Naperville, Illinois-based wholesale food distributor’s promotion planning and forecasting capabilities across 16 distribution center networks.
KeHE said Cognira’s PromoAI will drive improved ROI, increased margins, enhanced collaboration, reduced inventory and minimized spoilage.
KeHE previously relied on legacy systems, spreadsheets and email for promotion planning and forecasting. The company said it was important to find a solution that could streamline the workflow while delivering accurate forecasts.
Raj Govindarajan, executive director of supply chain at KeHE, praised Cognira as “a company renowned for its top-tier talent and outstanding solutions.”
“Our partnership will revolutionize our promotional forecasting and planning as we leverage Cognira’s expertise,” he said. “With its advanced AI/ML technology, we can now enhance our service level and optimize critical KPIs like inventory and spoils during promotions, benefiting our extensive customer base of around 30,000 retail stores.”
Hatem Sellami, Cognira’s founder and CEO, welcomed the news.
“KeHE’s choice of our promotion solution underscores our position as a leader in the industry,” Sellami said. “We eagerly anticipate the opportunities that lie ahead in this partnership and look forward to seeing the achievements we will make together.”
With more than 6,800 employee-owners, KeHE is a distributor of natural, organic, specialty and fresh products to more than 30,000 natural food stores, chain and independent grocery stores, e-commerce retailers and other specialty products retailers throughout North America.
