Fareway Stores Inc. has opened a new 8,700-square-foot Meat Market at 8606 NE 85th St. in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Kansas City location will offer a full-service butcher counter and to-go barbecue meal options through McGonigle’s Kitchen and Catering. These services also are offered at the 79th and Ward Parkway and Olathe, Kansas locations.
Traditional Kansas City barbecue favorites prepared by company experts include beef brisket, burnt ends, sausage rolls, pulled pork, brisket mac and cheese, steakhouse baked beans and other deli salads will be smoked fresh and available daily.
The Fareway Meat Market will also provide a large grocery selection, including fresh-cut produce, dairy, healthy varieties and locally-sourced items. A variety of craft beer, fine wines and top-shelf spirits will be available, in addition to full-service and online ordering, with curbside pickup at Shop.Fareway.com.
“We are excited to expand in the Kansas City area with the addition of a new meat market location,” said President Garrett S. Piklapp. “Fareway is known for its best in fresh, high-quality meat and full-service butcher counters, but this location will also offer a great grocery selection, prepared foods and exceptional service for Northland area residents.”
The new meat market will be managed by Market Manager Jake Davidson and Deli Manager Andy Schirm. The store is open to the public from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
“We look forward to welcoming a new Fareway Meat Market location to Kansas City north. With family roots in Iowa, I know the quality and value Fareway will bring to area residents,” said Valerie McCaw, Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce board chair.
“Additionally, we are proud to see continued economic growth occurring in our region and are excited to welcome businesses like Fareway to The Northland.”
