Last updated on December 12th, 2024

For the fifth year, customers have let Aldi know which of the German discount grocer’s products are their favorite, as well as the grocery trends that are reshaping how they shop.

“Our loyal shoppers are always vocal about their love for Aldi products and over 70,000 of them sang praises in the 2023 Aldi Fan Favorites survey,” said Scott Patton, VP of national buying.

“Their feedback is invaluable, which is why we were excited to introduce new survey categories inspired by our fans’ interests, including ‘TikTok Made Me Buy It,’ among others.”

The 2023 Aldi Fan Favorites are:

Among the survey’s other findings:

  1. Friendly Farms Cottage Cheese and Low Sugar Greek yogurt took the top spot in their respective categories after the cottage cheese and yogurt cluster trends swept #FoodTok. Cottage cheese sales at Aldi spiked more than 14 percent.
  2. Dairy took the top spot in five of 13 categories, including Happy Farms String Cheese, which was the highest voted item in the survey.
  3. Quick meal solutions did well, as perennial winner Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Take and Bake Deli Pizza was voted as third most popular overall product in the survey. It has been an Aldi Fan Favorite category winner every year since the survey launched in 2019.
  4. Avocados were a double winner. They reclaimed their 2020 ranking as the top produce pick and avocado oil took the Lighter Side category.

Limited-time delivery

To celebrate this year’s winners, DoorDash is offering an Aldi Fan Favorites offer through July 31. Shoppers who select three or more of the items will get $10 off the subtotal, excluding taxes and fees.
