The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex welcomed its third H-E-B location July 19 with the opening of a 118,000-square-foot store at 8700 Eldorado Pkwy. in McKinney, Texas.

The new H-E-B joins recently opened stores in Frisco and Plano, as well as the company’s six Central Market locations that have served the area for more than two decades.

Filled with amenities, the McKinney store features a True Texas barbecue restaurant, a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru, fuel station and car wash. It also boasts a Home by H-E-B department with furniture, woven textiles and accent pieces from the Haven + Key and Texas Proud collections.

The store also offers H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, digital services that give customers choices on how to shop, pay for and receive products.

“Along with an enhanced in-store experience and commitment to top-quality service and selection, our H-E-B partners are committed to earning the confidence of our neighbors in this growing community,” Matt LoBello, McKinney’s top store leader, said in a statement.

“We look forward to serving McKinney with the best of H-E-B, and we are excited to provide a dynamic shopping experience.”

In addition, the store offers DFW-inspired products, such as sushi and sashimi by the pound, the DFW Roll made with avocado, cucumber, spicy tuna and salmon that’s seared and topped with spicy mayo and green onions.

H-E-B designed the store to reflect the character of the McKinney community and emphasized environmental sustainability, incorporating several energy-efficient inclusions, including CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.

The site also highlights native landscaping throughout the property, with a tree preserve between the store and residential neighbors acting as a natural privacy buffer.

H-E-B commemorated the store’s grand opening with a $10,000 donation to the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary

The company’s  presence in the DFW Metroplex will continue to grow with the addition of H-E-B stores in Allen, Alliance and Mansfield, all of which are under construction.

The retailer has also announced plans to open two Joe V’s Smart Shop by H-E-B stores in Dallas, the first locations outside the Houston area. Joe V’s offers a curated assortment of community-focused products.
