Research Triangle Park, North Carolina-based Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions has announced it will be at the Retail Solutions Providers Association RetailNOW 2023, set for July 30-Aug. 1 in Orlando, Florida.
Fredrik Carlegren, VP of marketing and communications, said in a statement that retailers are “looking to technology to help them overcome mounting challenges in the industry.”

Toshiba expert James Frank, senior innovation consultant, will be part of a panel discussion about the Future Trends in Retail & Hospitality, exploring how retailers can embrace emerging technologies such as A.I. while delivering a positive shopper experience. The talk is set for 2:30-3:30 p.m. Aug. 1.
At booth No. 609, RetailNOW attendees can experience live demos of Toshiba hardware, software and service solutions, including
- Pro-X Hybrid Kiosk, which offers a cost-effective solution that can be installed to fit any retail environment and pivot between self-checkout and cashier functionality.
- ELERA Produce Recognition on the Self Checkout System 7, which uses A.I. and Computer Vision to weigh and identify items to increase scanning accuracy to support loss prevention measures, increase self-service throughput and improve the customer experience.
- ATx services, which deliver simulated, tailored and intuitive equipment training, and Proactive Availability Services, which can remotely predict, diagnose and resolve system issues.
