Publix Super Markets has reopened a 46,811-square-foot store at the Shoppes of Beville Road in Daytona Beach, Florida.
“We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers and providing them with premier service and quality products,” said Hannah Herring, media relations manager.
The Publix store features a deli counter with Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, as well as handcrafted old-world delicacies, cured sausages, soppressata and aged prosciutto. The deli also offers an international selection of olives, antipastos, hummus and more than 200 artisan cheeses from the U.S. and around the world.
The produce department carries organic and conventionally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables, with locally-grown produce and exotic choices from around the world. The floral department stocks bouquets reflecting the changing seasons.
The Daytona Beach store’s meat department features custom cuts of meats, including Publix private label all-natural and organic GreenWise chicken. Customers seeking a home-cooked meal with minimal prep time can choose from ready-to-cook items prepared fresh daily. A full-service seafood department carries fresh seafood delivered throughout the week. It includes wild and farm-raised fish, as well as a wide variety of shellfish.
The store’s full-service pharmacy will also include a large variety of body care products and a wide selection of natural and conventional vitamins, minerals and supplements.
The store also provides contactless pay options and services, such as grocery delivery with Instacart and pharmacy delivery.
Publix adds this store to its growing number of new and remodeled Florida locations, including supermarkets in Westlake, Melbourne, Fort Myers Beach, Sarasota and Kissimmee.
To mark the reopening, Publix donated $2,000 in non-perishable items to Mother Mary’s Market, the campus food pantry at Bethune-Cookman University. The shelf-stable food will be delivered by the Publix Good Together truck.
“We are proud to support our local community with the donation of these food items,” Herring said.
“At Publix, we believe our greatest opportunity to give back is by helping put food on the tables of our neighbors in need, and we’re proud to make this donation during today’s grand opening.”
