Rochester, New York-based Ithaca Hummus is updating its hummus and salsa packaging to better serve consumers and retailers.
Rolling out in stores this fall, the Ithaca Salsa line will shift to clear tubs, allowing consumers to get a look at the dip’s ingredients prior to purchasing.
According to the company, the decision to update the packaging was made in part to better reflect the taste and flavors inside. Improvements, including refined font sizes and coloring, will also help the brand stand out on retailer shelves.
“At Ithaca, we are constantly listening to our partners and consumers to better provide fresh, flavorful, quality products that they know, love and trust,” said Chris Kirby, CEO and founder.
“While there is typically an overwhelmingly positive response to our products, we know there is always room for improvement. Upon further market penetration and testing, we learned that the packaging update is an essential optimization that will make our salsa and hummus lines more attractive to retailers and ultimately more accessible to consumers.”
Ithaca Hummus and Salsas are plant-based, vegan, non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free and contain no artificial ingredients.
