Ribbon cutting set May 3
Tops Friendly Markets is celebrating the grand re-opening of its 201 Main St. location in Northville, New York.
This store is centrally located in the heart of the historic Northville district, which is also home to Great Sacandaga Lake & Park, Ponderosa Pines Camp Grounds, Waterfront Park and Northville-Placid Trail.
Tops will cut the ribbon on this $400,000 renovation that has a renewed focus on fresh departments at 11 a.m. May 3. With more than 14,000 square feet, the store will offer new, enhanced services, an expanded assortment of products and updated décor.

This store has been refreshed from top to bottom, with new exterior paint and paving, landscaping, energy efficient equipment and LED lighting both inside and out, expanded state-of-the-art self-check outs, renovated restrooms and new interior décor. Store Manager Penny Stout said she and her team are working every day to make life easier for their shoppers by focusing on affordable, easy-to-prepare meal options as well as providing some new additions.

Stout invites the community to visit during the grand re-opening celebration and have the chance to win prizes like $1,000 in Tops gift cards for food and fuel, a Backyard Movie Cinema Experience and a YETI Hopper Cooler filled with Tops gift cards.
The expanded produce area features items of the season, including fresh-cut veggies, fruit and trays, carefully selected, washed, cut and prepared for ready-to-serve convenience. Tops partners with more than 500 local produce and dairy farmers.
The company also is a supporter of products grown by New York State farmers who adhere to the New York State Grown and Certified program’s requirements, which includes verification of safe food handling practices and participation in environmental sustainability programs.
The store also features an expansion of the deli, cheeses and specialty items with sandwiches, prepared salad varieties and other grab-and-go meals. Boar’s Head Deli products have been added to the cases. Tops offers an expanded assortment of baked breads, pastries and cakes.
Throughout the store, shoppers will also see an increase of plant based options; grass-fed, organic chicken; along with a larger selection of certified organic and gluten-free offerings that are fully integrated in aisle.
Tops Grocery Delivery offers online ordering, with items delivered from the store in as little as an hour.
To support the community, the Northville Tops store will be making $1,000 donations to each of the following local groups as a thank you for their support of the community: Baptist Church of Northville Bread of Life Food Pantry, North Hampton ambulance, Northville Central School District, Northville Fire Department and Northville Police Department.
