Houston-based Sysco Corp. has appointed Kenny Cheung as CFO, effective April 17.
Neil Russell, who has served as Interim CFO since Jan. 6, has been appointed to the new position of chief administrative officer.

Cheung joins Sysco with almost 20 years of financial and operational executive experience. He most recently served as EVP, CFO at The Hertz Corporation, where he led the company’s global finance organization, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, internal audit and treasury operations.
Prior to his appointment as CFO, Cheung served as EVP, chief operational finance and restructuring officer and in several finance leadership roles, including SVP of global financial planning and analysis and CFO for Hertz North America.

In this new role, Russell will be responsible for implementing Sysco’s portfolio of strategic initiatives. He will work with the executive leadership team to ensure transformational programs are on track and delivering the required financial returns.
In addition, he will have responsibility for managing the company’s government and investor relations, communications and public relations, sustainability and community relations.
