Dierbergs Markets will celebrate the opening of a new store March 28 in Crestwood, Missouri. Beginning at 8:15 a.m., the company will host a ceremony in front of the store to commemorate the opening of its 27th location.
“The Dierbergs commitment to providing excellent customer service and an extensive selection of quality products will feel familiar in our newest store,” said Greg Dierberg, CEO and president for Dierbergs Markets.
“My family is proud of the all-in team effort that goes into a project like this, and we’re ready to share Crestwood Crossing with the community.”
The new store, a 72,000-square-foot supermarket, follows a similar footprint to the company’s Lake Saint Louis location, which opened in November 2021. In the seating area, customers can view historic snapshots of the former Crestwood Plaza. Department highlights include Bob’s Barn, a full-size wooden barn within the store, that features a robust beer, wine and spirits destination. Other highlights include a Dierbergs Kitchen, Butcher Shop and Bakehouse, a health and beauty center, pizza cove, flower and gift shop and Mercy Pharmacy.
Additionally, the initial phase will include 35,000 square feet of neighboring retail and restaurant spaces, with an early commitment from Mercy Go Health Urgent Care. Future phases of the shopping center will include multiple outparcel opportunities with a mix of retail, service and restaurant users, along with outdoor public gathering spaces. Dierbergs is in discussions with several local restaurants that have expressed an interest in joining.
Dierbergs Markets traces its roots to a country store founded in 1854 in West St. Louis County. Four generations have managed the company, which had one location until 1967. Today, Dierbergs has more than 3,500 employees in 26 St. Louis metropolitan-area stores and one location at Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks.
