Three ShopRite locations have recently debuted Fresh to Table, a store-within-a-store concept where customers can find fresh foods, ingredients and easy-to-prepare meal solutions in a variety of grab-and-go formats.
Two Connecticut stores, the ShopRite of Norwich at 634 W Main St. and the ShopRite of New London at 351 N Frontage Road, and one Pennsylvania location, the ShopRite at 3745 Aramingo Ave., have debuted this concept.
“We are excited to bring Fresh to Table concept at our Norwich and New London stores,” said Ken Capano Jr., owner and operator of the ShopRite of Norwich and ShopRite of New London.
“We offer a variety of delicious, freshly prepared foods that provide extra convenience for customers looking for ready-to-serve options for their families.”
Designed within the store’s footprint, Fresh to Table reinvents and reimagines traditional produce and fresh departments to provide options and ingredients for shoppers looking for a one-stop shop meal experience. These include sections with ready-to-cook items, ready-to-heat and serve items and ready-to-eat meals. The multi-purpose space also features new and innovative foods from its private label lines, including its Bowl & Basket and Wholesome Pantry products.
“Fresh to Table offers a new way for customers to access fresh foods and take home easy-to-prepare meals,” said Melissa Bullard, whose family owns and operates the ShopRite of Aramingo Avenue. “The combination of wholesome, seasonal foods and wide variety of products helps customers find convenient and budget-friendly meal solutions for any occasion.”
Other highlights of the Fresh to Table shopping experience include items and ingredients curated by chefs and registered dietitians and procured from departments across the store. Additionally, shoppers can also access Fresh to Table meals, snacks and produce through the store’s online grocery service.
The Fresh to Table store-within-a-store combines its ready-made meal expertise with the latest in integrated technology, such as online ordering through ShopRite’s Order Express app, which allows customers to order ahead of time for express pick-up or for delivery. Shoppers can also access Fresh to Table options on ShopRite’s online shopping service.
