Totowa, New Jersey-based Cibo Vita, makers of the Nature’s Garden Powered by Plants brand of snack foods, has launched its new artisanal roasted nuts innovations in more than 500 Hudson News locations.
The line has been a year in the making with consumer research on taste, texture, flavor and quality. The artisanal roasted nuts collection, which will continue to expand, incorporates real spices in unexpected fusions. The package design features a zipper lock closure and contains four-ounces of product, with an MSRP at Hudson News for $6.99. The products have kosher certification.
“Gen Z and Millennials are leading the intense, bold, indulgent flavor trend, willing to explore uncommon combinations,” said Emre Imamoglu, Cibo Vita CEO.
“We are reimagining our staple products to create blends with a twist. Our in-house food innovation scientists are tasked with creating distinctive taste sensations on an ongoing basis, elevating consumer experience and expectation within the flavored nut category.
The initial four flavor combinations in the artisanal roasted nut line include:
- Nashville-Hot BBQ Almonds featuring cumin, paprika, garlic, celery, cayenne pepper, and dark chili seasoning.
- Baja Taco Cashews with jalapeno, sour cream, tomato, garlic, bell pepper and lime flavors.
- Ghost Pepper Ranch Almonds with hickory, sour cream, garlic, onion and paprika.
- Spicy Dill Cashews with notes of garlic, vinegar, onion, cayenne and dill.
Founded in 2009, Cibo Vita began by producing private label snack products consisting of dried fruit and nut combinations for supermarkets nationwide. Nature’s Garden is the company’s flagship brand that launched in 2011.
Cibo Vita has more than 2000 SKUs with combinations of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, trail mixes, coated nuts, pretzels and chocolates. Cibo Vita products are sold in supermarkets, big box, drug chains, health food and convenience stores, as well as warehouse clubs nationwide.
