West Sacramento, California-based The Raley’s Companies’ Holiday Hope Drive raised $2.96 million for local Feeding America partners in its communities.

The effort at Raley’s, Bashas’ and fieldTRUE secured donations from customers and employees for local food banks. One hundred percent of the donations stay in the local community where they were given.

Serving communities is at the heart of The Raley’s Companies and their divisions, Raley’s, Bashas’ and fieldTRUE. Feeding America estimates at least 53 million people turn to food banks, pantries and other private assistance programs each year.

“Due to the amazing generosity of our customers, across multiple states, we raised $2.97 million for our local food banks, who are providing essential items and services to families in our communities,” said Chelsea Minor, executive director, community impact and public affairs, The Raley’s Companies.

“Food banks are an incredible community resource, and their mission is more important than ever. We are proud to support the food banks across our company footprint.”

The Raley’s Companies purchased Bashas’ family of stores in 2021. Raley’s is a private, family-owned retail company headquartered in West Sacramento. Since 1935, its store operations have grown to include more than 230 locations across four states and four Tribal Nations under eight banners: Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods, O-N-E Market, Bashas’, Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods and Bashas’ Diné Market. In addition, it combines physical and digital retail experiences through the operation of Apium Logistics, fieldera and fieldTRUE.
