Sunbury, Pennsylvania-based Weis Markets has promoted Amanda Bauman to director of marketing.
Her responsibilities include the oversight of the company’s loyalty marketing, data analytics, social media and digital marketing programs.
Bauman succeeds Maria Rizzo, who was recently promoted to VP of marketing and advertising.

Bauman has worked in various advertising and marketing positions at Weis Markets since 2003. Prior to her promotion, she served as manager of digital marketing, overseeing the development and launch of online shopping, the upgrade of the Weis app and the enhancement of the company’s growing e-coupon program.
Founded in 1912, Weis Markets is a mid-Atlantic food retailer operating 197 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Virginia.

Weis Markets recently adopted Toshiba’s cloud-enabled solution on its e-commerce platform and 197 of its stores. The service will provide Weis with more than 2,500 retail checkout touchpoints, including point-of-sale, self-checkout/dual use lanes and mobile throughout its footprint.
