West Sacramento, California-based The Raley’s Cos. has begun its Holiday Hope Drive, collecting donations from customers and employees for local Feeding America partners to help those facing food insecurity.
The Raley’s Cos. and their divisions, Raley’s, Bashas’ and fieldTRUE, have united to fight hunger within their communities by committing 100 percent of customer donations made in store and online to local Feeding America food bank partners across multiple states.
The Holiday Hope Drive will promote and collect donations through the end of year at all retail locations and online in Raley’s and Bashas’ family of stores and fieldTRUE.
“Now more than ever, The Raley’s Companies understands families are finding it challenging to put food on the table,” said Chelsea Minor, executive director, community impact and public affairs.
“That’s why we chose to support the critical work of Feeding America food banks who provide meals, essential items, nutrition education and other support for thousands of families during the holidays and beyond.”
For Raley’s family of stores, donations are collected through its Food For Families foundation. The nonprofit collects donations from customers, vendors and employees. Raley’s absorbs all administrative costs, and its partnership with Feeding America means funds are distributed to county food banks.
For Bashas’ family of stores, donations are collected at the check stand throughout the year for a variety of charities. In December, Bashas’ donations are given to the local Feeding America partners. For fieldTRUE, customers are prompted to donate at checkout. All donations are given to area Feeding America partners.
The Raley’s Companies purchased Bashas’ family of stores in 2021, adding to its portfolio, including Raley’s family of stores and fieldTRUE; spanning more than four states with more than 235 stores. For more information about the company, visit theraleyscompanies.com.
